What is the most hung-over you have ever been at work?

The day after the 2004 World Series. Far and away. And yet, the worst thing about it was not the hangover, but the fact that I couldn't speak for 36 hours. Screaming does that to a person.

oh goodness...the memories just came flooding back.

I was 21, just out of a 5 year relationship. I went out with a roommate on a Thursday night and ended up getting waaaaaay too drunk and then (for the first time ever) brought a guy home with me. After I kicked him out of my house at 4am (I thought I was being nice when I called him a cab), I got approx. 2-3 hours of sleep.

Oh right...and I had to go to work on Friday because I was leaving for a weeklong vacation on Saturday morning. There's nothing like driving to work with a CVS bag on your lap just in case you have to vomit. And then you vomit a few times that morning in the work bathroom all of your colleagues use. And everyone asks why you're wearing flip flops and look a nasty shade of green. And you HAVE to cross off 50 things on your to-do list before you leave for vacation. And you want to DIE.

Yeah...that would definitely be the worst...

Good times! I spent the 2004 World Series at the Pour House with "anonymous"/"ds" (confidential to ds--wasn't that fun? remember the guy from longmeadow? it was masshole central that night). I still have a shot glass that i stole from there. okay, so i think mine is "today".

July 5, 2002. I was working as a campus tour guide and had to leave a bunch of prospective student families from New Jersey loitering in a hallway while I threw up in the bathroom outside the university president's office. Good times.

Heh - I still have my glass on my liquour shelf! (And use it whenever I can - best drinkin' glass I got!)

I can tell I've lost a certain touch with Mass. That night, when they guy blurted out "Hey, I'm from Longmeadow!!" I was like, "Yeah... great. Cool, we're both from the same state." But I couldn't think of much else to say. When I first arrived here, i could have chatted for hours.

But that bar was the perfect spot to watch the game... At least, as long as you didn't mind 15 minutes of people spraying beer at the end. Good times, good times.

See, I still get really excited when I meet MA peeps, even more so when I meet MA peeps who have heard of a little town called "Leverett." Anyone who understands that Amherst has suburbs is good in my book.
