Brevity is the soul of lingerie*
In honor of blogger poetry day, here are some some pithy words from my boy Ogden Nash:
Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker.
I am so feeling that, good sir.
*Yes, a double-wammy. Can you guess which of my favorite 20th Century wits we can attribute that nugget of truth to? No cheating. Google searches are not allowed.

I don't know but I like it. :)
i know the gene wilder version of willy wonka said it, but I want to say oscar wilde.
I also want to say--tonight's MIRL? Woo mutha fucking hoo. I'm feeling froggy--it's going to be a good time.
I think you must have posted this when you were really looking forward to the upcoming weekend. :)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka, while in the invention room.... Prior to that he said:
"spring time, in the early ring time, birds sing, a ring a ding a ding time, hey hey" while riding a bicycle stirring whipped cream.
Do you want the whole scene?
I had to google it. Dorothy Parker. You were talking about brevity, right? Not candy? Though, I do enjoy both candy and liquor.
I love Ogden Nash...
'The cow is of the bovine ilk.
One end is moo,
the other, milk'
I agree w/Kristin--that quote is from Dorothy Parker, right?
