It makes me think of those low-budget 80's movies, like "Adventures in Babysitting" or "Short Circuit."
How about something more upbeat and happy? "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves?

Gosh, if you're going to be all optimistic about things, fine. You can do worse than "Walking on Sunshine." Reminds me of High Fidelity.
