Soundtrack to a Prolonged Weekend of Drinking at the Pour House
So it's Sunday afternoon and you find yourself at the Pour House AGAIN, having been distracted AGAIN from going home. Nurse your hangover with some whisky, pool, football and tunes from the juke.
In no particular order...
Garbage: I'm Only Happy When it Rains
The Strokes: Soma
The Smiths: Girlfriend in a Coma
The Cure: In Between Days
Ramones: Sheena is a Punk Rocker
Sonic Youth: Teenage Riot
The Killers: Change Your Mind
Run DMC: Walk This Way
U2: Sunday Bloody Sunday
David Bowie: Rebel Rebel
Stone Roses: I Wanna Be Adored
Beatles: Come Together
Anything by Morrissey
Some Pogues.
*all songs guaranteed to be featured in the Pour House jukebox.
Music to listen to when blogging about it: The Shins: Chutes too Narrow, although Spoon: Girls Can Tell would probably suffice.

Damn - I have to give respect to that kind of skill... My list wouldn't be nearly as solid.
Sounds like a mix-cd in the making.

I might suggest "Shadow of a Doubt" for the Sonic Youth song, but then I don't know if that's on the jukebox at the Pour House...
Personal Jesus - Depeche Mode?
Divorce Song - Liz Phair
Steal my Kisses - Ben Harper

You gotta have at least 1 song from an Ian Svenonius band (DC's own IggyPop/JamesBrown/alienrevolutionary).
Due to the secret romantic nature of the situation I recommend something by The Make-Up,maybe something from their first album "Destination Love: Live at Cold Rice". Or perhaps "50,000 watts" by The Nation of Ulysses. That's what I have to say on this most important of subjects.
